Over the weekend, we will look at ways in which watercolour can be used in a loose and expressive way when painting landscapes.

The ultimate goal is to create paintings devoid of unnecessary detail, that make an artistic statement using lively brushwork, executed with as little fuss as possible, whilst still putting into practice the basic, necessary techniques associated with watercolour.

An informal course for lovers of watercolours, across all levels of experience.

An absorbing weekend masterclass, to capture the ephemeral qualities of the natural world in clay. Cast a range of different sized plaques, one large and a series of smaller ones, with an emphasis on composition running through the design process.

The weekend will allow us to focus on watercolour finishes and working with different coloured plasters.

A weekend for creativity in a relaxed, friendly environment.


Walk & Draw, Sketching Course with Isabel Carmona

This year we will go for walks around Newbury and sketch on the way, stopping at various locations to draw/paint at different speeds.

Sketchbook and a materials kit provided.

Sessions will explore various local scenes (e.g. canal, town centre, high street) through the various sketching techniques.
