Chalk Fest – 12 July 2015 Thanks for taking part and enjoying it!
We had a fantastic day on the Sunday 12th July where we painted Newbury’s Market square with chalk. You can see on the photos below how much fun it was, exhilarating and colourful. We loved seeing families working together and people who normally say I can’t do art, having a go. Some stayed the whole day, some were just passing.
The competition was hard to judge and judges Cipriano Martinez, Alan Harding and Sarah Martinez had a really difficult time making a decision. In the end local resident Inmaculada Vivar won the generous prize donated by Craftsman Newbury Ltd. The mayor of Newbury handed the prize over to Inmaculada for her chalk picture of the Town Hall.
The selection of the works and images of the day are all courtesy of Dave Webster
