Set Design & Construction Course

City Arts is proud to present, their first Set Design & Construction Course for Kids & Teens with Donna Lewis. The set design will be focused on the Mexican Festival Dia de los Muertos and students will learn how to plan, design and construct a set from scratch – using reclaimed, upcycled and recycled materials, as well as learning about the right tools and techniques for the job.

You can book your child onto 1, 2 or 3 days of the course, which is a unique opportunity to work within a challenging and exciting subject area, as part of a team, developing their imagination and acquiring a specialist set of skills – ultimately producing an incredible production set!

Day of the Dead: Set Design & Construction Course with Donna Lewis

Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th, Friday 26th October, 10am – 4pm

During this incredible three-day course, with Donna Lewis, you will design and construct a set for the ‘Day of the Dead’ event, taking place at City Arts on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th October.

The set design will be focused on the Mexican Festival Dia de los Muertos and there will be a surprise element – which will be revealed at the weekend event.

During the course, you will learn how to plan, design and construct a set from scratch – using reclaimed, upcycled and recycled materials, as well as learning about the right tools and techniques for the job.

This course is a unique opportunity to work within a challenging and exciting subject area – Stage Design & Construction. You will be working in a team, developing your imagination and acquiring a specialist set of skills – ultimately producing an incredible production set!

Children attending this course must be able to follow instructions safely and appropriately. They will also need to bring safety goggles and wear appropriate clothing.
