This five week course is for beginners and people with some experience of using their digital camera. It’s also for people who wish to improve their creative understanding and strengthen their aesthetic skills.

During the course, you will learn about all of your camera settings – including how to control light & exposure, shutter speed, ISO & depth of field. You will also explore composition & aesthetics – learning about what makes a great eye-catching photo. Each week, you will be taught how to read light and shadows, how to frame your photographs, what to look for when composing your shot and how to create dynamic and technically accurate photographs.

By the end of the course, you will know how to use your camera proficiently and how to take beautiful photographs for nature walks, events, holidays, family gatherings and more! You’ll also know what all of those buttons are for!

Come on an urban photography safari, with your own camera.

This workshop will introduce you to the composition and observation of our urban environment. It is in two parts, first you will learn about composition and record your environment based on a given brief and then, after framing the best two from each photographer, we will hold a private exhibition for friends and family the following week.

Learn how to use your digital camera confidently and creatively. This is a fun and challenging workshop, part theory, part practical.

Teens will learn about their camera settings and how to use them to strengthen composition, focusing and aesthetic skills, as well as produce exciting and dynamic photos.

You need to bring your own digital camera, any camera will do – from a point & shoot to a DSLR (no camera phones).
