City Arts: Renovation Fundraising Project

City Arts is a self-funded, community arts hub in the heart of Newbury, West Berkshire.

The centre was created four years ago, by Claire Struthers-Semple and Isabel Carmona, with the aim of providing a friendly, welcoming place to learn, share, teach, collaborate and exhibit.

In 2017, we started our Fundraising Project to convert the former Wesleyan Chapel and Sunday School, into a purpose-built centre for the whole community. Our vision is to provide a space that has a Gallery, Café and Workshop – welcoming beginners to more experienced artists, old and young alike.

Last year, with the help of our community, we raised over £33,000 through events, competitions and community days.

Over the next two years, we are aiming to raise the remaining amount of £500,000 and renovate our building, but this is only achievable with your help…
