Atmospheric Landscapes & Seascapes in Pastels with Kevin Scully (3days)

Wednesday 29th, Thursday 30th & Friday 31st August, 10am – 4pm

This 3 day course explores the various ways that soft pastels can be used in conjunction with other traditional mediums such as ink, watercolour and gouache, to create fresh and lively pictures.

The basic principles of drawing in pastels and the various techniques that can be employed in their use are investigated through demonstration and one-to-one tuition.

Pastel is a versatile medium that can be used to create detailed drawings as well as lively, spontaneous ‘paintings’. Colour harmony and composition will feature strongly in our investigation of this exciting medium.

There will be plenty of opportunity for experimentation using a variety of materials and a range of different surfaces.

Age: Adults
Cost: £170 (including 3 days & all materials)
