Wednesday 24th, Thursday 25th, Friday 26th October, 10am – 4pm
During this exciting and challenging three-day course, with Donna Lewis, you will learn how to design and construct a set for the City Arts ‘Day of the Dead’ event, taking place on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th October.
The set design will be focused on the Mexican Festival Dia de los Muertos and there will be a surprise element – which will be revealed at the weekend event.
During the course, there will be step-by-step instructions on how to do everything and we will be using reclaimed, upcycled and recycled materials, as well as learning about the right tools and techniques for the job.
This course is a unique opportunity to work within a specialist subject area – Stage Design & Construction. You will be working in a team, developing your imagination and acquiring a unique set of skills – ultimately producing an incredible production set!
Children attending this course must be able to follow instructions safely and appropriately. They will also need to bring safety goggles and wear appropriate clothing.
